Grosvenor Square

Running an extensive engagement programme for both the local community and wider London audience to understand their priorities for Grosvenor Square. Working through the pandemic we hosted a series of online talks bringing experts across a range of disciplines to explore what priorities for a new type of London Square should be. From planting, play, activities and sustainability we explored these topics and developed a robust brief the design team could be held accountable to. These large reach events were combined with more intimate local conversations about key topics delivered through hands-on workshops with prompts and packs to facilitate engaging sessions. All of this feedback shaped a set of community priorities that could be used by the design team to shape the emerging designs. These priorities were presented with full scale installations of planting and seating to bring some of the ideas to life.
