New Homes for Small Sites
April 2022 - ongoing
We led the development of an engagement approach for Camden Council’s New Homes for Small Sites programme. The programme operated on two levels: borough-wide engagement aimed at reaching as many residents and organisations as possible, and focused, site-specific engagement on 10 estate sites to support more localised conversations.

About the project
We led the development of an engagement approach for Camden Council’s New Homes for Small Sites programme. The programme operated on two levels: borough-wide engagement aimed at reaching as many residents and organisations as possible, and focused, site-specific engagement on 10 estate sites to support more localised conversations.
This required a dual approach — broad and wide-reaching for some elements, and targeted and place-specific for others. While the Council wanted to deliver the engagement themselves, our role was to write a clear strategy and provide a suite of tools to support effective delivery.
Alongside the strategic work, our in-house team created graphic tools and assets to make it easy for Camden Council to implement the strategy with the best materials, props, and resources. We designed boards, flyers, workshop materials, and pop-up tools, and trained the Council’s in-house team to adapt and finalise these resources independently.
Once engagement activities were complete, we processed and analysed the data collected to produce clear, actionable insights based on resident feedback. Monitoring demographic reach was a key part of our role — enabling us to keep the Council informed of any gaps and recommend ways to improve inclusion.
We have recently been reappointed to continue supporting Camden’s engagement as they move into the planning application phase for five of these small sites.
