White City

A series of infill sites on White City Central Estate for Hammersmith & Fulham Council. The proposals include new homes across multiple spaces within the existing estate, alongside the demolition and re-provision of some community facilities within a new high-quality community hub connected to an adventure playground. The engagement was delivered using a hybrid approach, incorporating a Commonplace platform for online feedback, online workshops, in-person events where possible, remote exhibitions for self-guided activities, pop-ups, walkabouts, and tagging on to existing events. Over a 26-month period, 66 events were held. Print materials and a project website ensured residents were regularly informed about the feedback gathered and how their ideas influenced the proposals. Activities were tailored to specific groups, with particular focus on children, young people, and families interested in adapting the spaces between buildings to suit their needs.
